Ralf Wednesday is a minor character from the anime series Last Exile. He was a vanship courier who took on a job to deliver the young girl Alvis Hamilton to the battleship Silvana. He only appears in the third episode "Transpose".

Ralf took on the job of delivering Al to the Silvana and was accompanied by Al's handmaid Gita who served as his navigator. On their way, they were attacked by a Guild Starfish and Gita was killed. Ralf himself was severely wounded and likely would not have survived the journey.
Ralf's vanship crash-lands, crossing the path of the contenders of the Norkia Cup Vanship Race. Klaus Valka and Lavie Head, the series' protagonists, land their vanship to investigate the crash. They find Ralf and Al still alive and Ralf begs them to take on his delivery mission. With the Starfish nearby, Ralf offers to serve as a distraction so that Klaus and Lavie can escape with Al.

Ralf gets back into his cockpit and starts up the vanship's engine, knowing that it will attract the Guild Starfish. While Klaus, Lavie and Al escape, the Starfish attacks Ralf's vanship. Ralf detonates a bomb, destroying himself and hopefully the Starfish too. However, the Starfish survives the explosion as it pursues Klaus and Lavie in the following episode.
