David (portrayed by Martinez) was a minor antagonist from Season 7 of The Walking Dead. He was a member of the Saviours who flaunted a false sense of power over those from communities that provided supplies for them. He was posthumously referred to as "Rapey-Davey" by his boss (and killer) Negan since he attempted to rape Sasha Williams.
David appears in numerous episodes in Season 7. In the episode "Service", he is seen bullying Enid in Alexandria, demanding that the girl say "Please" to get some balloons back. He is also threatened by Carl Grimes after entering the Grimes' house to take all of their medicine.
In the episode "Hearts Still Beating", David inspects a crate that Rick and Aaron had scavenged from a deceased survivalist's boat. The crate contained a note left by its former owner, congratulating and insulting whoever reached his empty stash. David thought that the note had been left by Aaron to disrespect the Saviours and so he and a handful of others surrounded Aaron and beat him.

In the episode "Something They Need", Sasha is captured by the Saviours. David enters her cell and introduces himself, then informs her that he is going to have his way with her, caressing her skin lecherously. Sasha headbutts him, but David is only excited further by her resistance. Before he can go any further, Negan arrives at the cell and is disgusted by David's behaviour, indicating that the Saviours do not typically allow rape. Negan draws a knife and thrusts it through David's neck, killing him. However, he doesn't stab David's brain and intentionally leaves his corpse in the cell to reanimate for Sasha to finish off as she ponders on Negan's offer to join him.
Roughly half an hour later, David's corpse reanimates and Sasha puts him down with the knife that Negan had left for her.
