Reiko was a minor character in the 2021 martial arts movie Mortal Kombat. Based on the character of the same name from the video game series, he was a General in Outworld's army who wielded a maul, much like his emperor Shao Kahn. He was one of several Outworld warriors selected by Shang Tsung to participate in the final Mortal Kombat tournament.

Reiko joined Shang Tsung as the sorcerer assembled Outworld's champions to pre-emptively strike at Earthrealm's warriors before the tournament. After Kabal talked Kano into betraying the other Earth kombatants, the Outworlders invaded Raiden's temple once Kano had brought down the shield surrounding it. Reiko fought against Jax Briggs, who had yet to unlock his arcana and had previously been crippled by Sub-Zero. Though Jax had been outfitted with new mechanical arms to replace the ones Sub-Zero had taken from him, they were flimsy and ill-suited for battle. Jax was overpowered by Reiko and defeated, with Kano later using his eye laser to bring down a piece of a giant statue upon him and Sonya Blade. After Shang Tsung killed Kung Lao, he, Reiko and the other Outworlders fled.
Death[]
After the remaining Earthrealm kombatants reassembled and organized a battle plan, they were each dispatched by Raiden to face one of the Outworld fighters. Jax, who had unlocked his arcana trying to help Sonya, was sent to fight Reiko. With his mechanical arms having been enhanced by his arcana, Jax stood a much better chance against Reiko, who was not prepared for the Major's onslaught.
On a bridge overlooking a vast pit, Reiko and Jax fought to the death. Jax was able to overpower Reiko with considerable ease and broke his maul before bringing the Outworld general to his knees. He then finished Reiko by slamming his fists together with Reiko's head between them, shattering the Outworlder's head like a melon.
