Roland Treece is the secondary antagonist of the Sony/Marvel film Venom. He served as head of security at the Life Foundation, commanding a group of mercenaries whose job was to "clean up" security leaks and eliminate anyone who could threaten Carlton Drake and his work. He was portrayed by Scott Haze.

Biography[]

After Eddie Brock had taken one of three alien symbiotes from the Life Foundation's laboratory, Carlton Drake sent Treece and his men to get it back. Treece's men broke into Brock's apartment and threatened to kill him if he didn't give up the symbiote, but wasn't aware that the creature had already bonded with Brock. The Venom symbiote fought back and Brock escaped from the apartment, but Treece and his mercenaries pursued, releasing a swarm of robotic drones to take Brock down.

After a lengthy chase, Eddie was thrown off his motorcycle, breaking his legs. When Treece caught up to him, Eddie suddenly got up, the symbiote repairing his legs and spreading over his body before grabbing Treece. Venom contemplated eating Treece, but one of the other mercenaries shot him in the back. Venom turned and bit the mercenary's head off before making his getaway.

Death[]

Later on, Eddie had become seperated from Venom and was captured by Treece, taken out into a forest to be executed. As Treece and three of his goons prepared to shoot Eddie, black tendrils shot out of the mist and grabbed each of the three gunmen, pulling them out of sight. Finding himself alone, Treece began to panic, trying to track the mysterious attacker. All of a sudden, Venom appeared before him, having bonded with Eddie's ex-girlfriend Anne Weying. Anne/Venom then killed Treece by biting his head off.
