Romeo Montague is a male and main protagonist of the 1968 romantic tragic film Romeo & Juliet, based on the 1597 play by William Shakespeare. He is protrayed by Leonard Whiting.

History[]

At the start of the film Romeo Montague along with other Montague families gain a longstanding feud with the Capulet family throughout the city of Verona. Romeo then finds a love name Juliet Capulet and they eventually fell in love with each other and also spents their time with each other and both were secretly married, unknowing for the Capulet family.

Death[]

After Romeo finds out over Juliet Capulet's apparent death at the graveyard, he begins sobbing over her death and gives her a kiss and then he takes a bottle of poison and dies while holding her hand. Juilet then wakes up and finds out that Romeo is truly dead, and also dies with him with a knife stabbing her in her chest.

After both Romeo and Juliet died from suicide, the Prince of Verona severely punished the Montague and Capulet family during their ending feud at the funeral as they all went inside with their corpse.
