Roy Carson was a minor character in the horror film Final Destination 5. He was a factory worker at Presage Paper and the head of the local workers' union. He worked under supervisor Nathan Sears, whom he didn't respect due to Nathan being considerably younger than him. Unlike the other characters in the film and, indeed, the rest of the Final Destination series, Roy wasn't a survivor of the disaster that occurs in the film's beginning, nor was he on Death's list. However, he unknowingly interfered with Nathan's death, which resulted in him dying and Nathan claiming the remaining days of Roy's life.
Death[]
Some days following the collapse of the North Bay Bridge, Roy discovered that his hours at Presage had been cut. This was due to the loss of most of the company's staff during the bridge collapse, but Roy seemed to believe that Nathan had it out for him. When he handed in his timecard for the day, he had written the words "FUCK YOU" over it as a message to Nathan.
When Nathan went to confront Roy over his attitude, he noticed a lifting hook hanging above the factory floor. As Roy argued with Nathan on a walkway, Nathan noticed a faulty cable come loose and feared that the hook would come down. As the hook began to fall, Nathan tried pushing Roy out of the way. However, the hook smashed through the walkway and Roy fell, his chin getting caught on the hook which ended up puncturing through his brain.
It is later revealed that Roy didn't have long to live, anyway. He was originally supposed to die on May 13th 1999 due to an aneurysm, right after the Flight 180 explosion.
