Sam is a minor character in the TV series The Walking Dead. He appears in Seasons 4 and 5 and is portrayed by Robin Lord Taylor.
History[]
Sam first appears along with his girlfriend Ana in the Season 4 episode "Indifference". The couple had previously been a part of a larger survivors camp, but that camp had been overrun by walkers. Only Sam and Ana were known to have survived.
After fleeing their doomed camp, Sam and Ana took cover in an abandoned house in a deserted town. They hid there for some time, unable to leave due to previously sustained injuries and the presence of a walker in the house. The couple were found by Rick Grimes and Carol Peletier whom they thanked for saving them. Having had a rough time on their own, Sam asked Rick if he would let them join his group. Rick considered it and told Sam and Ana to meet up with them outside the house after gathering some supplies.
Rick and Carol waited, but Sam or Ana never came back. Ana was later found dead in a nearby garden being eaten by walkers. Sam's whereabouts remained unknown.
Death[]
Sam would appear again in the first Season 5 episode "No Sanctuary". At some point, he had been captured by the cannibalistic inhabitants of the survivor colony of Terminus. Knelt beside Rick Grimes over a pig trough, Sam begged for his life before being knocked out with a baseball bat. The Terminus butcher then slit his throat to bleed him out for later consumption.
