A Savior standing on a lookout post overlooking a road is shot by an unseen sniper. After falling dead from the platform he was standing on, his corpse is eaten by the zombie that was on the ground beneath him.
Daryl ambushes a Savior sitting on a car, grabbing and dragging him off-screen where he most likely kills him.
Morgan ambushes a Savior outside an old pharmaceutical company building, impaling him through the back with his spear and then lancing his brain to prevent reanimation.
Rick ambushes a Savior lookout, stabbing him in the gut and leaving him to bleed out next to a zombie tied to a post. As the Savior lies bleeding on the ground, he taunts Rick by saying that he'll be begging for his life again before the war is over and that his son will die. Rick responds to this by cutting the rope holding the zombie to the post, allowing the creature to eat the dying Savior.
At the Sanctuary, two Savior snipers are shot dead.
A walker staggers towards a tripwire trap that had been planted for the Saviors, but Morgan steps in and lances the zombie through the back of the head.
Two Savior cars are blown up by Morgan and Carol's tripwire bomb, killing those who were inside.
As part of the plan to lure a horde of walkers towards the Sanctuary, Daryl drives along a predetermined path, setting off several explosives planted along the path in order to ensure that the horde follows. At one of these points, a lone zombie lurches past an explosive just as Daryl shoots it. The bomb explodes and the zombie is blown to pieces.
An armoured RV rolls up to the front of Sanctuary rigged with explosives. Rick sets off the explosives, resulting in the factory's front yard and fences being destroyed. The zombies that had been chained up around the area are blown to pieces, though some of them are still active, reduced to nothing but snapping heads and shoulders.
At a Savior outpost, Daryl and Rick shoot a guard and enter the front gate.
The Damned[]
Mara tries to contact two of her compatriots, J-Top and Little Roy, by radio. Neither of them respond and it is safe to assume that both were killed by the Militia.
Several armoured Militia vehicles attack the Savior café outpost, gunning down a number of Saviors working in the courtyard.
At a Savior lookout post, Ezekiel and Carol are reeling after a Savior had thrown a grenade their way. As they recover, walkers step through the dust cloud and attack. Carol shoots one through the head as she gets up off the ground.
Ezekiel skewers a zombie through the head with his shikomizue, then shoots another.
Jerry kills a zombie by driving an axe into its skull.
Two more zombies are shot, two others are stabbed and one final zombie is chopped down by Jerry's axe.
Back at the outpost, Rick shoots two guards before entering the building.
Back out in the café courtyard, another Savior is shot dead by Eric.
At the Saviors' satellite outpost (which was repopulated since Rick's group previously killed all the Saviors stationed there in Season 6), Morgan rattles the outer fences in order to attract the zombies on the perimeter. Two Savior guards notice the walkers converging and are about to investigate when Dianne kills them both with arrows.
Tara and Jesus enter the base and shoot three Saviors with silenced pistols.
Back at the café, another two Saviors are gunned down in the courtyard shootout.
A female Savior attempting to flank the Militia is shot.
Back at the satellite facility, two Saviors are caught unawares and shot.
Eric shoots a Savior positioned behind a short wall.
Morgan, Andy and Freddie shoot a Savior as they enter a room, but six other Saviors are right behind him and return fire, killing Andy and wounding Morgan and Freddie.
Back out in the café courtyard, the Saviors that had previously been killed begin reanimating, attacking Mara and the few remaining survivors.
In the woods, Jerry axes a zombie that appears partially melted.
Back at the lookout post, Rick gets into a scuffle with a Savior and kills him after throwing him against a wall, impaling him on a protruding shelving bracket.
Morgan recovers after being knocked down and walks through the halls of the satellite compound, shooting twelve Saviors. When he makes it outside, he finds that the other surviving Saviors have surrendered.
The Savior that Ezekiel's group were pursuing through the woods is mauled to death by Shiva.
Back at the café, another Savior is shot dead while three Militia members are also shot, including Francine.
Aaron shoots one Savior as he tries to reach Eric.
Eric shoots another Savior while he is pinned down behind a sheet-metal barrier.
Monsters[]
A group of twenty Saviors hold Ezekiel and his people at gunpoint. However, the group of Kingdomers had split in two prior to the engagement and the other half of the group, led by Carol, ambush the Saviors from the thick brush and gun them all down. The Kingdomers suffer no casualties.
While Rick is held at gunpoint, Morales tells him that he lost his family since the two of them parted ways. The details behind the death of Morales' wife and children are not disclosed.
While Morgan and Jesus' group are leading several captured Saviors down a road, a horde of walkers tumble in from an incline. In the ensuing battle, two helpless Saviors are bitten.
Six walkers are killed on-screen, whether by stabbing or shooting.
During the walker attack, a line of Saviors bound together with rope attempt to escape into the forest. Morgan pursues them and, after catching up to them, shoots one of them. He would have shot all of them if Jesus didn't intervene.
Arriving at a small building surrounded by woods, Ezekiel's troops ambush the three guards standing on the roof. They then enter the building and proceed to kill any Saviors within. Once again, they suffer no casualties.
Out in a factory courtyard, Ezekiel's people ambush and kill forty Saviors. The Kingdomers still suffer no casualties.
Back at the office outpost, Rick and Daryl are caught in a shootout in a corridor. Daryl shoots one Savior.
The remaining Saviors in the office are killed when Aaron and the Militia arrive to support Rick.
Outside the café, a number of dead Saviors have reanimated and are feeding on those that hadn't. Daryl comes out and picks them off with his crossbow.
As Rick's people are clearing out from the café outpost, a lone Savior called Todd reveals himself. After Rick promises to let him live in exchange for information, Todd informs Rick that the M2 machine guns that the Saviors were supposedly storing at the office building had been moved to another outpost, the one that Ezekiel's group was advancing on. After telling Rick what he knows, Todd asks if he can leave, but then Daryl shoots him dead.
Just as the episode comes to a close, Ezekiel realises that there are Saviors watching from a window of a building in the compound his men had supposedly cleared. As he cries out for his people to scatter, machine gun fire rains down. Four of Ezekiel's men throw themselves over the King to shield him, sacrificing themselves.
Some Guy[]
Following on from the previous episode, Ezekiel pushes the bodies of his protectors off of him and sees that his entire group has been slaughtered by heavy machine gun fire. Worse still, the bodies are starting to reanimate.
Unable to run due to taking a shot to the leg, Ezekiel stumbles and falls. Seeing another of his fallen subjects reanimating and reaching for him, he picks a pistol off the ground and shoots the zombified warrior in the head, spending the only bullet that was left in the clip.
One of Ezekiel's men, Alvaro, is still alive and shoots a zombie about to bite into the King.
Inside the outpost, four Saviors are packing up the .50 cal machine guns they had just used. The group are gunned down by Carol, who had snuck into the building and hid in the ceiling, shooting the Saviors through the ceiling panels.
As Gunther leads Ezekiel across an open field, he turns and shoots a walker not far behind them.
Out by the fence to the factory courtyard, Gunther shoots another approaching walker.
Joey - A Savior among the group at the factory outpost. After Carol is supposedly cornered in the courtyard, Joey goes over to bind her, but Carol is able to draw a knife and hold it to Joey's neck. Carol threatens to kill Joey if the others don't let her go, but Yago orders the others to shoot anyway and Joey is gunned down by his comrades.
While trying to break the chain on a gate to the factory courtyard, Jerry breaks the head off his axe. He then turns and uses the jagged end of his axe pole to stab a zombie through the eye socket.
Walkers enter the courtyard from the gate where the Saviors were situated. Two Saviors are attacked from behind and eaten alive.
Jerry and Ezekiel cut down five zombies as the horde advances on them.
Yago guns down a trio of zombies as he tries to make a run for it.
Carol guns down two more walkers whilst shooting at Yago.
While trying to negotiate with Yago, Carol looks over to the fence where Jerry and Ezekiel are situated, watching them kill a number of walkers despite the odds being against them. Forced to choose between stopping the Saviors from escaping with their guns and saving her friends, Carol opts to help Jerry and Ezekiel, shooting five zombies before working to unlock the gate while Yago and his surviving friend drive away.
As Yago is pursued by Daryl and Rick on the road, his Jeep splatters a zombie that lurches into his path.
The Savior accompanying Yago shoots at Daryl's bike from the rear of the Jeep, but Daryl shoots back and kills the gunner.
Jerry and Carol stab five zombies as they lead Ezekiel through the woods.
Arriving at a zombie-infested ditch, Jerry cuts down one ghoul while Carol shoots two.
Ezekiel skewers six zombies with his shikomizue whilst yelling at Carol and Jerry to leave him behind.
Shiva appears and mauls three walkers, drawing the horde's attention away from Ezekiel.
The Big Scary U[]
Negan uses Lucille to cave in the head of a zombie that manages to get into the trailer he and Gabriel are trapped inside of.
After smearing themselves with zombie blood and entrails, Negan and Gabriel manage to exit the trailer without being immediately seized and devoured. However, after Gabriel trips over a body, the horde takes notice and he and Negan start fighting for their lives. Negan bludgeons five zombie skulls in with his bat while Gabriel shoots five others.
Within the Sanctuary, the workers have come up to the office floor to voice their dismay over the loss of power and the low supplies. One angry woman is shot by Regina after demanding to be told what has happened to Negan.
The King, the Widow and Rick[]
Carl comes across Siddiq in the woods as well as a zombie impaled on a sharpened branch reaching for a plastic bag. Siddiq walks up behind the zombie and breaks the back of its skull with a rock.
Carol finds Henry fighting against a pair of walkers in the woods and intervenes, shooting both creatures.
Carl and Siddiq come across three walkers feeding on a deer and stab them in their brains. However, more walkers are nearby and attack.
Siddiq kills a walker by ramming its skull against a tree.
Siddiq tackles a zombie to the ground and bashes its head in.
Carl is pinned down by two walkers, but manages to shoot them both. While not explicitly shown in this scene, Carl is also bitten.
Leo - A Savior portrayed by Adam Cronan. He and fellow Savior Zia were working in a warehouse putting together several horn blares to use to divert the walker herd outside the Sanctuary. When Michonne and Rosita enter the warehouse, a fight ensues. As Leo tries to run, Rosita stands in his way holding a rocket launcher. Leo calls Rosita's bluff, believing she won't use the rocket. She does, however, and Leo is blasted to smithereens.
Zia - A Savior portrayed by Ciera L. Payton. When she and Leo are attacked by Rosita and Michonne, she fights off Michonne before attempting to escape in a truck carrying a large stack of horn blares. As it seems she is home-free, Daryl suddenly arrives in a truck and sidelines Zia, wrecking her vehicle and the horn blares. Before Zia can recover, Daryl shoots her.
Time for After[]
Daryl, Tara and Morgan execute a plan to breach the Sanctuary and allow the horde of walkers in the courtyard inside. Daryl drives a truck towards the south wall of the factory, placing a cinder block on the pedal before he jumps out. The truck squashes a dozen walkers before ramming into the wall and making a breach.
As the undead pour into the Sanctuary, all hell breaks loose as the Saviors struggle to hold back the horde. An unknown number of walkers are shot and at least two people is overwhelmed and eaten.
Regina and several Saviors run up a flight of stairs, shooting three zombies down as they retreat.
Another Savior on the ground floor is eaten by walkers.
Dwight and Regina shoot many walkers at the bottom of the steps, creating a barricade of corpses to hold back the horde.
Rick leads Jadis and the Scavengers to the perimeter of the Sanctuary where they find one of the Militia snipers being eaten by three walkers. Rick draws a knife and stabs each one of them.
How It's Gotta Be[]
When the Saviors arrive at the gates to Alexandria, Carl delays Negan while Daryl leads an evacuation, using a truck to knock down a rear wall and lead the people away. Once Negan realises this, he orders his people to start bombing the town. Grenades are launched into the streets and several buildings are destroyed. An unknown number of residents who couldn't evacuate in time are killed off-screen.
Dwight leads a group of Saviors into an ambush on a forest road in the dead of night. He stops the convoy in the middle of a field of smoke where the Saviors are picked off by Tara, Michonne and Rosita. One of the Saviors, Laura, manages to escape.
Michonne, Daryl, Rosita and Tara return to Alexandria to find that walkers have entered. Michonne uses her sword to scalp a walker.
A Savior ambushes Michonne as she walks through the burning ruins of Alexandria. He grabs her and tells her that everything that happened is her people's fault. Michonne then backs the Savior against a wall, getting her arm free and using her sword to stab him through the eye. In her rage, she furiously chops up the Savior's dead body.
Honor[]
In a flashback, Morgan is still watching over the Sanctuary through his sniper's scope and witnesses the Saviors gunning down dozens of walkers in order to make an exit path.
The other snipers besides Morgan are all killed by the Saviors.
As Morgan escapes down a side alley, he lures a group of walkers towards him. Several Saviors emerge from a door between the walkers and Morgan. It is unknown how many of the Saviors, if any, died.
Back in the present, Carol stabs a walker that had tripped on a wire trap she had set up.
Morgan and Carol sneak into the Kingdom, ambushing two Saviors trying to put out a fire. They strike them down with their staves and then stab them in their brains.
Carol and Morgan kill another two Saviors by slitting their throats and then lobotomize them.
Three Saviors are loading up a car when Morgan walks up behind two of them and impales them. The third is shot by Carol.
Inside the Kingdom's theatre, Carol and Morgan shoot all of the Saviors guarding Ezekiel, save for Gavin. The last of these Saviors survives being shot and attempts to throttle Morgan, but Morgan pushes his fingers deep into the man's bullet wound and pinches his small intestine, pulling it out and painfully killing him.
The Lost and the Plunderers[]
As Rick mourns beside Carl's grave, Michonne cuts down a trio of zombies in the street behind them.
A large number of zombies gather at Alexandria's main gate. Unable to close it properly by herself, Michonne stabs the brains of the four frontmost zombies, making a barricade out of their bodies to hold back the others.
As Rick and Michonne try to put out a gazebo on fire, walkers soon surround them. The duo make a run for it, with Michonne scalping three walkers with her sword on the way.
Simon pays a visit to the Heaps to demand an apology from Jadis for previously aiding Rick, as well as to claim all of the Scavengers' guns. After obtaining the weapons, Simon urges Jadis to apologize, shooting two Scavengers to encourage an honest answer.
After Jadis punches Simon to the ground in anger, Simon takes it as an act of hostility and orders the Saviors to kill all the Scavengers. Screams and gunfire fill the air as Jadis watches helplessly while her unarmed people are murdered.
When Rick and Michonne arrive at the Heaps to make a deal with Jadis, they find themselves trapped with the previously-murdered Scavengers having all reanimated. Rick shoots three walkers on-screen with his Magnum.
Using pieces of discarded scrap as shields, Rick and Michonne make a run through the undead Scavengers. Rick shoots seven zombies while Michonne cuts down two with her sword.
Jadis lures her undead former friends towards a large compactor machine. Standing on the other side of the intake, she activates the machine and stands silently sobbing as 132 zombies walk straight into the intake and are gruesomely crushed into paste.
Dead or Alive Or[]
As Daryl, Tara, Dwight and Rosita lead the surviving Alexandrians through the woods, a burnt, blackened zombie emerges from the brush and lunges a Tara. Tara pushes the zombie away and onto Dwight, on purpose. Dwight manages to push the walker to the ground and stomps its brains in.
Just before the title sequence starts, Gabriel and Dr. Carson are sitting in a Sedan studying a map as a zombie with a chain on its leg crawls towards them. After the title sequence, the zombie is dead and a bloodied tire iron lies beside its head.
Inside an old log cabin, Gabriel and Harlan discover a radio station and several notes left by the operator. Gabriel is optimistic, believing that the operator might have given people hope with his message during the apocalypse. Harlan opens a door to the next room where he finds a lone zombie, presumably the former operator, with a plastic bag over his head, indicating that he had committed suicide. The zombie is later killed off-screen.
Daryl shoots a walker that emerges from a swamp.
Whilst wading through the swamp, Rosita is attacked by a zombie that emerges from the muck. She manages to stab it in the head with her knife.
As several zombies emerge from the swamp, Daryl and Siddiq go about the task of stabbing each of them to clear the way for the survivors.
Dwight stabs two zombies roaming the woods.
After Carson gets caught in a bear trap, several zombies are drawn by his screams. Most of these zombies become caught in traps themselves, but Carson is able to shoot one before dropping his gun.
Gabriel, rendered half-blind due to an infection, picks up Carson's dropped gun. He raises it towards Carson who is being pinned by a walker and he fires, miraculously hitting the zombie in the brain.
The Key[]
While Rick and Negan are fighting inside a derelict building, Rick gets a hold of Lucille, Negan's baseball bat. He uses a lighter to set the bat on fire and attacks Negan with it in a room full of walkers. Several walkers are set on fire after being struck with Lucille. They are still mobile by the time Rick and Negan get out of the building.
Do Not Send Us Astray[]
As the Saviors are about to attack Hilltop, Daryl approaches on his bike and opens fire with an assault rifle, killing three Saviors.
Several more Saviors are killed when Hilltop and Kingdom fighters open fire from atop the settlement walls and from behind vehicle cover.
Three Hilltop fighters standing outside Barrington House are struck by Savior arrows.
Carol shoots a Savior near her position.
Two Hilltop fighters on the wall are struck by arrows.
Another Savior is gunned down by Michonne.
A Savior slashes Tobin before being shot dead by Carol.
A Savior pops up right in front of Daryl, only to get shot.
After all the lights in the Hilltop go out, the Saviors quietly move in on Barrington House. As they approach, however, the lights on the vehicles surrounding the mansion come on and several fighters stationed at the windows open fire on the Saviors, killing at least three more.
As the Saviors fall back to the Hilltop gate, Rick and the other lookouts arrive. Rick guns down four Saviors with a machine gun.
Three Saviors attack Rick one after another, but Rick cuts each one down with a hatchet.
The people who had previously been wounded by the Saviors tainted weapons succumb to infection and die, only to reanimate in the middle of the night and start attacking the people sleeping in Barrington House. Three people are shown being bitten.
One bite victim is stabbed through the head by Rick while still alive.
Katy, an imprisoned Savior who had been hit by a tainted arrow during Simon's attack, reanimates and bites into one of the other prisoners.
Back in Barrington House, a woman who had died in the night reanimates, but is stabbed through the brain by Rick before she gets up.
After finding the holding pen empty, Maggie shoots a zombified guard on the wall.
Still Gotta Mean Something[]
The episode begins with a flashback of Simon's massacre of the Scavengers. As Jadis runs for cover, gunfire and screaming can be heard in the background as Scavengers are gunned down off-screen. While Jadis pretends to be a corpse, a Scavenger runs from around the corner only to be chased and shot by a Savior.
While Morgan and Carol are out searching for Henry, they come across a lone walker. The zombie has Henry's staff sticking through its abdomen. Morgan pulls out the staff and uses it to stab the walker through the eye socket.
When Morgan and Rick are captured by Jared and the other escaped Saviors, Morgan starts yelling out and attracts a nearby herd of walkers, leading to a bloody struggle.
Two Saviors who had been injured and had amputated limbs are lying on the ground helpless, unable to fight back as the undead move in and devour them.
One of the able-bodied Saviors is tackled by walkers and fed upon.
After retrieving his assault rifle, Rick guns down six walkers as he and Morgan try to escape from the bar.
Four of the Saviors try to help Rick and Morgan escape and it appears that the two sides might work together, but then Rick and Morgan turn on them. Morgan stabs two of them with his staff, shoots another, and Rick hacks one in the shoulder with his hatchet.
One of the last remaining Saviors tries to attack Rick for his betrayal, but Rick grabs him and throws him to the walkers to be eaten alive.
Morgan cuts down a walker in his way as he goes after Jared.
Carol finds Henry being attacked by a pair of walkers. She rushes to his rescue and stabs the two zombies in their heads.
Worth[]
In the woods near Oceanside, Cyndie and her crew are on patrol when a walker approaches them. Suddenly, Aaron emerges from the trees and stabs the walker through the head.
At the Saviors' machine shop, just as Eugene steps outside, the guard in front of him is shot with an arrow through the head. The guard behind Eugine is stabbed by Rosita.
While they are escorting Eugene, Rosita and Daryl come across a group of zombies. Daryl shoots four of them with his crossbow and stabs a fifth.
Out in the woods near Oceanside, Aaron is attacked by walkers. He stabs one, but then drops his knife after being tackled by a second.
While on the ground, Aaron kicks the second walker in the head. Evidently, he kicked hard enough to push part of the zombie's skull into its brain as it stops moving after one kick.
A third zombie attacks Aaron, but he grabs it and slams its head against the piece of sheet metal he had been using to shelter himself. This is apparently enough to kill the zombie as it doesn't move again afterwards.
Aaron kills a fourth walker by stabbing it through the head with a broken tree branch.
A fifth zombie attacks Aaron but is tackled to the ground. Aaron kills it by smashing its head in with the branch.
At the Sanctuary, Simon meets with his co-conspirators in the courtyard to discuss how to get rid of Negan. However, Negan had been out there the whole time and heard the conversation. After revealing himself, he counts down from three and then shots ring out from behind a nearby car as Simon's supporters are all killed. Afterwards, Negan uses Lucille to smash in all the victims' heads to prevent reanimation.
Wrath[]
A group of Saviors set up a roadblock with walkers in order to trap the Militia, but Rick and his team ambush them from the woods, killing the Saviors while leaving the zombies standing.
At another roadblock, all but one member of the Savior team are killed. The last survivor tries to surrender, but Morgan ignores his pleas and slashes his throat.
Gabriel tries to escape after tuck-and-rolling out of Negan's car, but runs right into the path of a walker. Laura catches up to him and stabs the walker before it can bite Gabriel.
The Militia and Saviors arrive at the ambush spot, with the Saviors outnumbering and surrounding Rick's people. However, as the Saviors attempt to open fire and kill off the Militia, all of their guns suddenly backfire. Eugene had sabotaged the munitions he had been forced to make by including too much gunpowder. The guns explode in the Saviors' hands, resulting in several of them being killed while the rest are injured.
Battle erupts with the Saviors now at a great disadvantage. Rick's army advances and several Saviors are shot.
Michonne cuts down a Savior with her sword.
Three Saviors attack Eugene, but are shot down by Rosita.
A group of Saviors chase after the Hilltop residents fleeing into the woods. While Tara, Alden and the former Savior prisoners prepare to snipe at them, they watch in surprise as their pursuers are suddenly firebombed by Cyndie and her group from Oceanside.
By the end of the episode, Negan is defeated though his life is spared. The rest of the Saviors surrender, and thus the war is brought to an end.
