Toshiro Mori (portrayed by Brian Tee) is a minor character from Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Appearing in the Season 2 episode "A Fractured House", he was an arms dealer and weapons engineer for HYDRA who was able to develop a weapon based on the Diviner, an object of alien origin that petrified those who touched it. Mori's new Splinter Bomb was a thrown weapon that embedded in a target, swiftly petrified the victim and reduced them to dust.
After a group of HYDRA mercenaries impersonating S.H.I.E.L.D. agents attacked the United Nations Headquarters using Splinter Bombs, Phil Coulson dispatched agents Bobbi Moore, Lance Hunter and Melinda May to Japan. Bobbi had been working undercover in HYDRA and used that cover in order to meet with Mori under the pretense of acquiring more Splinter Bombs, though her true mission was to confirm Mori was responsible for designing them and shut his operation down.
Death[]
Mori was aware that Bobbi was actually working for S.H.I.E.L.D. and during the meeting discretely alerted his bodyguards. As Mori's goons closed in, Bobbi dropped her act and fought back and was soon reinforced by May and Hunter. During the fighting, Bobbi and Hunter began arguing with one another. Mori had been knocked to the ground, but as Bobbi and Hunter bickered with one another, he attempted to shoot them. Bobbi and Hunter quickly turned around and shot Mori, then went straight back to arguing.
