Troy was a minor character in the horror movie Saw III. He was the first character to die in the film.

History[]

In life, Troy was a petty criminal and drug addict who had been in and out of prison on several occasions. Although he had attended the Homeward Bound Clinic, the therapy he received there ultimately didn't help to turn his life around. At some point following his attempted rehab, Troy was targeted by the infamous Jigsaw Killer: John Kramer. Due to his brain cancer leaving him weak and bed-ridden, Kramer had his apprentice, Amanda Young, set up a deadly game that would test Troy's will to survive.

Following his abduction, Troy woke up inside what appeared to be an elementary school classroom. He saw that he had been stripped down to his underwear and was horrified to find that he was being held in place by eleven chains, each one ending in a metal ring that had pierced his flesh. Ten of the chains pierced his hands, shoulders, achilles tendons, arms and external obliques while the ring of the last chain was pierced through his lower jaw. Sitting on a table near Troy was an improvised explosive device with a countdown timer attached.

Death and post-mortem[]

After watching Jigsaw's video message, Troy struggled to try and remove the chains piercing his body before the nearby nail bomb went off, which would detonate in ninety seconds. Wracked with pain as he pulled each chain from his flesh, Troy ultimately failed to remove them all in time and the nail bomb exploded. Troy still had the chain in his lower jaw left to remove when his body was ripped apart by the nail bomb blast.

The nail bomb explosion was heard by nearby residents who then called the police. When the SWAT Team arrived at the scene, they found that the door to the classroom had been welded shut, forcing them to cut it open with a blowpipe. Examination of Troy's remains revealed that the chains had each pierced areas that would have left him crippled once he forcefully removed them. Between that and the welded door, there was absolutely no way for Troy to escape.
