Virgil was a minor character from the fifth season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. In a possible future in which Earth has been destroyed, he was a human resident of the Lighthouse, a space station ruled by the Kree that hung amid the debris of what used to be Earth. While living as a slave under the Kree Watch, Virgil was also a member of a group called the True Believers, who held a prophecy that agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would come from the past to free them from Kree tyranny and prevent Earth's destruction.
History[]
In the Season 5 premiere "Orientation - Part One", Phil Coulson found himself appearing on the Lighthouse after being transported to the year 2091 via the Time Di'Alla. Virgil witnessed Coulson's arrival and realized who he was, greeting him and stating how he believed that one day S.H.I.E.L.D. would arrive to save humanity. Before he could elaborate to Coulson, Virgil was suddenly knocked out by Alphonso Mackenzie.
When Virgil came to, he found himself surrounded by Coulson, Mack, Yo-Yo Rodriguez and Jemma Simmons. He started to explain his history to them and what the agents' arrival meant to him, but before he could fully explain anything, he was killed when a Vrellnexian ambushed him from behind, plunging its claws through the back of his head and pulling him out of sight.
