Volstagg the Voluminous (portrayed by Ray Stevenson) is a supporting character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in all three Thor films. He is one of the Warriors Three along with Hogun and Fandral and a stalwart friend and ally of Thor. Volstagg is perhaps the most jovial of the Three; he is known for his carefree attitude and his love of food and drink, though when it comes to battle he will gladly sacrifice himself for his friends if need be.

Thor[]
Alongside all his fellow warriors, Volstagg took part in a poorly considered strike against all the Frost Giants of Jotunheim, which soon resulted in Odin deciding to directly punish Thor by banishing him to the Earth without his powers. When Loki then took the throne of Asgard during Thor's banishment, Volstagg and his allies played a key role saving Thor from the Destroyer before bringing him back to Asgard where he successfully stopped Loki from stealing the throne of Asgard and restoring the peace.
Thor: The Dark World[]
Once they had quelled the Marauders rebellion, Volstagg and his allies believed they had brought peace to the Nine Realms before they were forced to join the war against the Dark Elf Malekith. As Thor and Odin's views had clashed, Volstagg assisted his friend in finding his own way to defeat the Dark Elves, before being tasked with removing the Aether along with Lady Sif.
Thor: Ragnarok[]
Volstagg only appeared very briefly as he and Fandral attempted to use the Bifrost to bring Thor and Loki back to Asgard after Hela had escaped from Hel. The Goddess of Death threw Thor and Loki out of the pillar of light and arrived in Heimdall's observatory. When Fandral inquired as to who Hela was, she responded by skewering him and Volstagg with her Necroswords.
